FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions.
Here are some common questions about PoolDefence US.
Can my child climb the mesh pool fence?
No. Our California-compliant mesh pool fences are designed to prevent children from gaining leverage or footholds. The flexible mesh may bend slightly under pressure, but it cannot be climbed, providing a secure safety barrier around your pool.
Can my child knock down the mesh pool fence?
No. Our removable mesh pool fences are built for maximum durability. Even if an adult leans or falls against the fence, it will not collapse. Every installation meets California safety standards to ensure your barrier stays firmly in place.
Can my child unlatch the mesh pool fence sections?
No. California safety guidelines emphasize secure, child-resistant latching mechanisms, which our system exceeds. The latch requires coordinated strength, pushing two poles together while releasing a spring-loaded lock, making it extremely difficult for a child under age 5 to operate.
How tall are your mesh pool fences?
We offer 4-foot and 5-foot mesh pool fences, which align with California’s pool safety regulations. Custom heights are also available for special needs such as pet containment or unique yard layouts.
How much do your mesh pool fences cost?
Pricing for mesh pool fences in California varies based on the linear footage, layout, and customization. We provide upfront, accurate pricing during your onsite estimate so you know the full project cost before installation.
How do I clean and maintain the mesh pool fence?
Maintenance is minimal, simply rinse the fence with a hose 3–4 times per year. Our weather-resistant mesh is engineered to withstand California’s sun exposure and outdoor conditions without fading or deteriorating.
How do I remove and reinstall the mesh pool fence?
It’s as easy as 1,2,3! Removal and storage of your mesh pool fence takes an average of 15 minutes.
- Start by unlatching the safety hooks between fence panels. To do this you will have to firmly hold the top of the connected poles while simultaneously pulling back the spring-loaded sleeve on the hook to unhook the latch.
- After the panels are unhooked from one another, fence tension will be released and you can begin lifting the fence poles out of their ground sleeves.
- Insert ground hole covers, roll up the mesh panels and store.
If your mesh pool fence hasn’t been regularly maintained, you may come against some resistance during the removal process:
How long do your mesh pool fences last?
When properly cared for, our mesh pool fences can last for decades. Even with minimal maintenance, homeowners typically enjoy 10–20 years of reliable safety around their pool.
How long does mesh pool fence installation take?
Most mesh pool fence installations in California take 2–5 hours, depending on the yard layout and surface type. Our certified installers ensure a clean and precise installation every time.
What surfaces can mesh pool fences be installed into?
We can install mesh pool fences into nearly any surface, including concrete, pavers, grass, dirt, and more, common across California backyards. Each installation is customized for a secure fit.
Can you install a mesh pool fence around an above-ground pool?
Yes. Our removable mesh pool fences work for all pool types, above-ground pools, in-ground pools, spas, and jacuzzis. Every installation is tailored to your property’s layout.
Can existing holes in my deck be used for your mesh pool fence?
Depending on the size of the holes, there is a strong possibility we can. Our holes are made at 1 ¼” holes. If your holes are smaller than that, we can expand the size of the holes. If they are bigger, then they may need to be customized.
