OUR STORY
How It Started
When Leran went looking for a pool fence for his own family, he expected to find something he could trust. He didn’t.
The products were weak. The companies behind them cut corners on materials, rushed installations, and moved on. For most homeowners, that might be good enough. For Leran, with young kids and a pool just outside his back door, it wasn’t close.
So he built what he couldn’t find. A company where every fence is installed the way he’d want it done at his own home. That became Pool Defence, and that standard hasn’t changed since day one.

Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children under 4. Southern California has more residential pools per capita than almost anywhere in the country. Leran thinks about that every day.
It’s why Pool Defence won’t use T5 aluminum, the cheap structural grade most competitors rely on. Pool Defence fences are built from T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and 304 stainless steel hardware. The same spec Leran chose for his own backyard. Not because it’s easier to sell, but because it’s the only material he’s comfortable standing behind.

Why We Only Do Mesh
Leran could have built a company that installs every type of pool barrier. He chose not to. Mesh is the gold standard for child safety, and he’d rather be the best at one thing than average at many.
Every installation includes anti-climb mesh, a self-latching gate, and a lock, everything a family actually needs. The fence comes down in 10 to 15 minutes when you want the pool open, and goes back up just as fast. Leran designed it to live in the real world, where pools get used and families don’t want a permanent barrier in the yard.
